CMC Center for Excellence in the Arts
The Center for Excellence in the Arts, established in 1996, is designed to serve all Colorado Mountain College communities. It is dedicated to enhancing and enabling excellence in programs encompassing all art forms, encouraging the highest standards of learning through the arts it is also a liaison for encouraging and enabling collaborations with the premiere arts organizations in CMC communities.

Visual Arts Program
The Visual Arts program of the Center for Excellence in the Arts is an emerging academic support project of the Colorado Mountain College Foundation. The program consists of the Colorado Mountain College Gallery in Glenwood Springs; shows toured throughout the CMC district to other campuses and communities, as well as related education programs, publications and performances.
Guest speakers and curriculum links to other CMC courses of study and to Center for Excellence in the Arts education initiatives are important components of the program.
Recent exhibits have featured the works of Herbert Bayer, Christo, Eli Weiss, Japanese sculpture, Anderson Ranch faculty and students, Hmong textiles, ancient Roman ceramics and more.
